WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I live in the Bay Area, California and I’m proud to call this my home! My studio is located in Santa Clara.
I’m originally from South Africa, and travel home 1-2 times a year.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?
It's not about the perfect photo, it's the perfect moment captured in a photo. You offer a glimpse into your life during our sessions and in return I want to give the gift of authentic memories. I love subtle colors and the golden hour sunshine aI seek out genuine moments that make you feel something.
Most photos are lightly posed, meaning I’ll help get you into place first and then encourage interaction while snapping away. My goal is to provide you with a stress free experience. We’ll stay on our feet the whole time, seeking out yummy light and backgrounds that enhance your personalities.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION?
I set aside a limited number of sessions each month so that that each client receives my personal attention. To secure your desired session time, please contact me as soon as you can.
From start to finish, the process for a custom family portrait session can actually take several months, depending on your schedule and my workload. It’s definitely an investment of time, but the end results are well worth it. Here’s a timeline for a typical session:

2 weeks to several months – booking, planning, and getting ready for the session. To kick off I will send a questionnaire to you and set up a story board on Pinterest where we can collect ideas and inspiration for our session. This board will be shared with you so we can work together to create your own personalized and unique narrative for your session.

1-3 hours – the session itself

Up 6 weeks after the session, you’ll receive your images!

DO YOU OFFER A "BABY'S FIRST YEAR" PACKAGE?
Mini sessions are a perfect way to supplement to mark those milestones as your baby grows into a toddler. These mini’s are *only* available once you book your newborn session with me. Most clients do the following: mini session for maternity pictures, a full newborn session within 10 days of birth, a mini session session at around 4 months, one at 7 months, and then one at 1 year to get the full representation of your baby’s first year. You also have the option to purchase a beautiful, custom “Baby’s First Year” book featuring your favorite images from throughout the year.
DO YOU OFFER DIGITAL FILES?
All image collections include 25-50 full-resolution digital files with a print release, which allows you to reproduce images for personal use as many times as needed. I provide four versions of each photo, including color and black & white versions in both high- and low-resolution. High-resolution is for printing, and low-resolution is for use on the internet.
HOW MANY IMAGES CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE?
You will receive between 25 - 45 images in your gallery, often more. I understand it seems a little odd to go through a photoshoot and hear so many clicks, and then receive fewer images.
WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Most portrait sessions take place at Bol Park, Palo Alto. Studio sessions are available upon request.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY SESSION?
The baby’s needs then dictate the flow of the session. When you arrive, I will ask you when the baby’s last feeding was. I will have props for you to choose from, based on a style questionnaire you would have completed before the session. At that point, we will get started and you can sit back and relax.
HOW LONG WILL I WAIT FOR THE FINAL GALLERY?
Client galleries are available for review approximately six weeks after the session.
WHAT IF I NEED MY IMAGES IN A HURRY?
Rush editing is available at a fee of $100. A rush gallery will be presented in 3 days from the session date.
